Introduction to graphic design
During the semester we were asked to think of a company of
our own and design the complete corporate package for the same company. So the
Company I thought was a Book Publishing and Designing Company named Kitab kala.
Its function was not only to publish books but also to completely design a book
if the contents of the book are brought.

Logo-
This
logo has been made using two 'ka' (first alphabet of hindi varnamala), and have
been rotated at
right angles. These two 'ka' are the begining alphabets of the two words of the
name. Two dots
have been placed inside the two spaces and symbolize energy in the logo and
give it the strength.
Two beaks have been cut out from the two ends of the stroke of the logo, so that
they along
with the dots (which act like dots) and the curve of the sroke look like two
swans opposite to
each other. Swan has been chosen because swan symbolizes education and same is
the moto of the
company of publishing book. The two colors chosen are formal and will go most
of the backgrounds.
Also the colors look good. Also as a whole the shape of the logo and colors
chosen are also visually pleasing. It is also
visible from a distance.
