InDesign is software mainly used for publication type of work. So here I am showing the work of designing a page of the newspaper. I did it completely by myself. I designed the front page of ‘THE TIMES OF INDIA’ for ‘FRIDAY 29-06-2012’and published in MUMBAI. I learnt many things about the software from this. I learnt about the various tools like selection tool, direct selection tool, page tool, Gap tool, pen tool, pencil tool, text tool, line tool. And the most important tool Is the frame tool which is used to give a specific space in the newspaper for a picture or so.
I also learnt about the various options on the menu bar and the sub-options present under them.
I also learnt about the concept of master page in thr software. Whatever changes I in the master page are seen on all the pages.
I have also learnt about the various forms of font here like black, bold etc. Also there are dotted lines also used at some places. Concept of layers and color changes have also been used here.
Here is the front page made completely by me-
